An organ is a musical instrument that can look like a piano, but unlike other keyboard instruments the organ's sound output is continuous and constant for as long as a key is depressed. Also unlike the piano, the volume of the sound usually does not depend on how hard the key is struck. The organ is one of the oldest musical instruments in the Western musical tradition. There are many different types of organs, but perhaps the most well-known type of organ is the pipe organ, so named because it produces its sound through pipes. Like all keyboard instruments, organs often require tuning and repairing. If it is an electric organ, it will not need tuning, but it may need repairing if something is not functioning properly.
